LOUISE TARGETT, Managing Director & Trainer

Louise Targett

Since cutting her teeth as a shopping centre manager back in the 1990’s, Louise could be considered a successful entrepreneur. She was the CEO of Target Training for 20 years and now it’s time to step back. Louise remains a Business Manager within Target Training focussing on specific projects.

She has a wealth of experience having worked with thousands of businesses including some from the top 150 Australian companies. Her work is varied and includes everything from program design and customisation, preparation of proposals, lodgement of tenders, presentations to clients, employment of trainers, orchestration of policies and procedures, contract management and overall people management and business management.

Aligning tailored programs and job descriptions to competency-based qualifications could be considered Louise’s specialty. Louise has also published numerous texts that fall within the business leadership and management domain; and authored hundreds of Australian recognised learning resources.

Highly respected as an authority on business development, training and organisational turnaround, Louise has advised and trained frontline staff through to CEO’s. On numerous occasions she has also judged prestigious industry awards programs and mentored to students new to the VET industry.

As a professional, Louise has directly impacted the lives of thousands of business managers, business owners and employees throughout Australia, with her business development and training programs, and public speaking engagements.

Louise, a life-long student herself, has created a system of “easy learning” which produces the education, strategies, and momentum for measurable and lasting business development, growth and change. Her qualifications include:

Rishabh Punj - Director of Compliance.

With a strong background in compliance sector and over 5 years of Vocational Education and Training (VET) experience, Rishabh is responsible for dealing with all regulatory requests, quality assurance and ensuring positive relationships with all stakeholders.

His early career began in automotive industry where he quickly moved from technician roles into administration and management. During this time he worked for companies including Toyota Australia, Nissan and Kia. Rishabh studied Automotive for 3 years before switching to Business Management.

The opportunity to move into the training sector came through a management role at a nationally operating RTO. Seeking a new challenge and testing his entrepreneur skills led to the formation of a small RTO under the banner of VIVE in Melbourne. During his time at VIVE he gained an extensive knowledge and in-depth understanding of both National and State regulatory requirements, data security and risk management. He was a part of various successful initial registration and compliance audits. 

He became a valued member of the Target Training team in 2017 and expertise in management and compliance, RTO policies and procedures and internal audits.

Kate Weerakkody

Kate Weerakkody - Administration Coordinator

Kate has been working in the education sector since 2012. She worked for several RTOs and universities over the years and joined Target Training in August 2018.

Her strengths in the areas of online learning, admissions, VET compliances, and student records management.

Kate holds a Master of Business Management, Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology, Diploma in Human Resource Management and Certificate IV in training and assessment.

Kate is based in the Target Training head office in Sydney.

Colleen Dyer

Sandy Taylor - Trainer/Assessor

Sandy has 20 years corporate experience in numerous roles including sales, call centre operations, customer strategy and planning and facilitation of sales programs.

She is passionate about coaching and mentoring others. For the past 4 years her work in the community sector has involved delivering employability skills training to jobseekers in a fun and interactive environment designed to help them push through barriers.

Her education degree has provided her with a solid understanding of adult learning principals. Sandy is based in Sydney.

Bill Harper - Trainer/Assessor

Bill has been in retail management for over 30 years, was a very successful franchisee at BP Blacktown for 8 years. Store manager for Coles & Franklins and has worked with other major retailers. He has been CEO for a non- profit organisation Australia wide and is now a very welcome addition to the training contingent with Target Training.

Bill has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Certificate IV in Retail Management, Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Certificate IV in Pastoral Care and a Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety. It is not just Bill?s experience and education, but his enthusiastic communication with students at all levels that make him an ideal and very sort after trainer.

Bill is based in Western Sydney but travels throughout NSW to train students.

LawrenceGibbs

Lawrence Gibbs - Trainer/Assessor

Lawrence worked in the corporate world for 25 years within the banking, finance and telecommunications sectors. Since 2007 Lawrence has been working in the adult education industry as a trainer, life coach and mentor. He has a strong background in instructional design and computer system programs. Lawrence makes an ideal trainer in areas of finance, business and management qualifications. The personal and professional support he provides his learners is second to none, with nurturing skills to assist the learner through the learning and change processes required.

Kim Growden - Trainer/Assessor

Kim is the Licensee of Hampshire Cider House, as well as a Trainer and Assessor for Target Training. Kim brings to the table 20 + years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry and is our expert having worked both overseas and locally. Opening and managing Hudson Coffee stores in Sydney to overseeing large hotels and staff in Adelaide. Kim is the licensee and General Manager of the Hampshire Cider House, the pinnacle centre of this unique program. Kim also specialises in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Gaming. Her qualifications are:

Dianne Pepicelli - Trainer/Assessor

Dianne is a business owner, mentor, and Operations Manager for the Hampshire Cider House in Adelaide.

Dianne comes with a wealth of experience in business and has operated and managed retail stores for one of Australia’s biggest and successful retailers and later her own retail store.  Dianne has won awards for her success in business and today still operates an online retail store – Harriett’s.  Dianne’s passion and commitment to the program and participants is breath taking.  Dianne also offers 1 on 1 life changing mentoring with participants which has been mentioned as being “one of the best parts of the course.”

Venise Damaskos

Venise Damaskos - Trainer/Assessor

Venise commenced her career in the retail industry, working for large businesses such as Grace Bros, Norman Ross and World 4 Kids. She held roles such as Sales Supervisor, Customer Service Manager and Buying Co-ordinator. After 15 years, hands on, in the retail industry, Venise’s skills led her into staff training and development. For the past 16 years Venise has trained, assessed and orchestrated programs under her employment with companies such as Macarthur Evening College, Mission Australia, Open Colleges, and numerous private RTO’s. She has worked with special needs groups, unemployed, through to corporates, and especially in the areas of people development, leadership, and sales and service training.

Simon-Bennett

Simon Bennett - Trainer/Assessor

Simon is a highly dynamic vocational trainer and assessor with a focus on corporate management and sales and service teams. Since 2004 Simon has been working in the training space, first with Singapore Airlines, then with the Kaplan Group and private RTO’s. Simon has a strong focus on implementing cultural and innovative experiences to support strategic and organisational development objectives change. Simon has a natural flair for sales and performance with a view of nurturing and teaching through exciting and memorable experiences.

Richelle-Barlow

Richelle Barlow - Trainer/Assessor

Richelle commenced her career in the vocational training industry in 2003 delivering Certificate II and III level business and IT courses predominantly. Richelle’s experience is also training and assessing students in specialist areas such as MYOB and Microsoft Officesuite applications, pre-employement programs, call centre-specific programs and online learning from Certificate III to Diploma level in Management, Business and Customer Engagement qualifications.

Richelle is articulate and yet friendly in her delivery style. Guiding her students through to completion via her online motivational strategies, or face-to-face sessions displays her commitment to their course outcomes.

Jodie

Jodie Duncan - Business Manager and Trainer/Assessor, Adelaide

Jodie comes to us with an exceptionally strong travel industry background, holding various business development, area manager and site manager roles in both the corporate and leisure sectors and winning numerous top salesperson high achiever awards.

Jodie commenced her career with Flight Centre more than 20 years ago. In 1999 her training profession was launched.  Her role was to provide classroom training for consultants and in-store shop visits with novice consultants, ensuring they were set up for success.

Jodie then went on to hold roles including recruitment manager and state sales manager while always keeping her hand in the training arena.

Since 2008 Jodie has operated the Target Training Adelaide office, managing all client liaison, training / assessment and program customisation requirements.

Jodie’s role included the management and operations of a pub for the purpose of training live hospitality students with real customers. Jodie is also currently working in a secondary school looking after their VET in schools program, specifically being Cert III in Business, Cert, III Micro Business, Cert. III Retail and Cert. III Hospitality; and supervising their work ventures / social enterprises that students work within.

Jodie’s clients are spread across South Australia and within Adelaide predominantly. Her customer care skills are second to none, ensuring her client relations and delivery exceed expectations every time.

JamesVial

James Vial - Business Manager and Trainer/Assessor, New South Wales

James has worked in the VET sector of Education for the past 8 years. His specialty is client liaison, co-ordination and orchestration of retail programs within the fast food industry. James commenced his training career in regional NSW taking care of everything from marketing of courses, participant selection, through to delivery of the program.

His background prior to this was hands on within Domino’s Pizza including delivery driver, shift supervisor and assistant manager.  James’ understanding of a fast food business and specifically the pizza business, makes him an ideal trainer in the retail operational areas of business.

Soleil El-Hazouri - Trainer/Assessor

Soleil has worked within the VET sector of Education for the past 11 years, as a trainer / assessor for both online and face-to-face programs.

During her working life she has co-founded, operated and sold 2 small businesses. In the early 2000 Soleil established and grew an accounting business and then in 2012 for five years Soleil operated a café.

Both businesses giving her the hands-on experience to understand the nuts and bolts of small business operations.

Now as a passionate trainer / assessor with extensive experience across the business, hospitality and retail sectors, Soleil is able to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to improving students’ performance through up-skilling, mentoring, coaching and supporting their development as an employees, in line with business goals.

Priscilla El-Hazouri - Trainer/Assessor

With over 10 years within the vocational training industry and experience as a trainer/assessor, coordinator and consultant, Priscilla’s strengths lay within her dynamic delivery, coordination of large groups and exceptional hands-on approach. She has trained and assessed from Certificate II level, through to Diploma in Business, Retail and Hospitality units of competency. Her broad industry experience, from retail, real estate/professionals and specialist industries, has given her the know-how to adapt to any workplace and relate to the learners.

Ming Little - Business Manager and Trainer/Assessor, New South Wales

Ming comes with 15 years experience in the vocational education and training industry. Ming has worked in numerous roles from project managing, to client liaison, course design, co-ordination and delivery. Ming’s industry specialisation includes business services, children’s services, transport and logistics, retail and hospitality.
